Memperkasakan Rakyat

The Birth of MAP for the voiceless community in Malaysia

Prior to MAP, there was a resounding voice that grew over the last 14 years for the voiceless community of the Malaysian Indian through HINDRAF.

HINDRAF represented the minority Malaysian Indian community from the poorer segment of the community who were voiceless towards arbitrary practices of displacing Malaysian Indian plantation workers without reasonable compensation, skills training, allocation of land for resettlement, affordable houses, prolonged Malaysian Indian statelessness, death in custody, generally lacking in socio-economic development through institutionalized marginalization and discrimination.

Leaders in HINDRAF realized that in reality there were other similar smaller minority communities in Malaysia irrespective of their race, religion or creed have also been suffering in silence without proper and effective political representation, therefore MAP was born.
